Cairn has an exciting opportunity for a BI and Data Analytics Manager to join the central IT function with an added focus on data quality and alignment across the organization. This is a fast-paced and demanding role working across a matrixed organization in a bid to deliver accurate and timely information to support key business decision making and help in the overall scalability and growth of Cairn.As a BI and Data Analytics Manager you own the BI backlog, where all business needs and activities come together, and you will work closely with key stakeholders and BI developers to provide focused backlog management and iteration planning.Key responsibilities:Manage the delivery of BI & Reporting solutions within both budgetary and timeframe constraintsDefine a clear vision for the BI & Reporting function and identifying growth opportunitiesCommunicate with stakeholders to make sure our reporting strategy is being achieved and with teams across the organization so everyone understands the goals, how we get there and any updates along the wayConnect the interests of stakeholders within the organization and act as project leader for larger jobs or projectsWork collaboratively within Agile principles for any BI requests from business stakeholders and maintain a central view of all active reporting development, backlogs and prioritizationOwnership of centralized reporting catalog that is maintained and fit for purpose.Support and align all those tasked with data & analytics generation to adapt and change to a common way of working, as well as eliminating duplication of effort across the organization.Manage team of BI Data Engineers and DevelopersCoach and facilitate the wider BI community within Cairn in their work planning, development and cooperationLead solution design with business stakeholders where technical process improvements requiredWork closely with the IT project teams to ensure reporting requirements are set out in line with data strategy for any systems being implementedDrive data alignment across systems to improve reporting accuracy and ensure the underlying data is fit for purpose with the various data owners / leadsReview and maintain access control for reporting catalogue in line with company data policies.Prepare monthly reporting to the leadership team on the backlog and relevant KPIsWhat you need:7+ years of experience within the BI & Data domain3+ Years experience as team lead / manager with strong people management skills.Previous development experience and in-depth working knowledge of PowerBI including performance best practices for large data set Views, Dimensions, Cubes, Measures and PartitionsProven ability to design and deploy rich graphic visualizations (following corporate design standards) including scorecards and dashboards using functions such as calculated fields etc.Ability to define corporate standards for look and feel among other items and ability to implement or help implement those standards across the organisationAbility to work with cross functional teams within the organization to ensure alignment of data strategy and promote collaborationStrong project management skills and takes ownership of data strategy roadmapProcess driven individual with experience of problem solving with inefficient processesProficiency in use of relevant software and analytical tools (PowerBI, Azure Synapse, DevOps is key)Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central, Dynamics 365 and Jet Reports will be an advantageExcellent communication skills both oral and writtenWorking with Cairn HomesAt Cairn, we believe it is essential that our employees feel valued and appreciated.
