Orpen Franks Solicitors LLP, a leading mid-sized Dublin law firm, is seeking a Legal Executive for their Corporate Commercial team. This is a permanent, full-time role, offering an excellent opportunity for candidates with legal executive experience to join their dynamic and supportive team, starting immediately. The firm is part of an international network of independent law firms.
The Team
Orpen Franks Solicitors LLP Corporate and Commercial division deals extensively with all types of Corporate and Commercial transactions. They provide a comprehensive and professional service, adapting to the ever-changing landscape of Corporate and Commercial law in Ireland. Claire Morgan, Partner, heads the team.
The team covers all aspects of Commercial and Corporate law including share and asset sale and purchases, company restructuring, partnership agreements, commercial contracts and agreements, shareholder agreements, intellectual property, joint ventures and company secretarial matters. The team works closely with other departments to ensure the provision of seamless and results-driven advice.
Overview:
As a legal executive, you will:
1. Work closely with and provide daily support to fee earners in the department
2. Provide company secretarial support to clients
3. Ensure accurate file management and time recording
4. Ensure deadlines and timescales are met
5. Continue to build excellent knowledge within your area of law
Key responsibilities:
Candidates must be currently working or have recently worked in a private practice or in-house legal role and have experience and confidence in:
1. Providing support to fee earners in large acquisition transactions (acting for both buyer and seller) including ideally running due diligence exercises, review of documentation and preparing reports for clients
2. Company secretarial filings, preparation of minutes, drafting of resolutions etc.
3. Company law expertise
4. Excellent MS Office and IT skills
5. Dynamic and flexible individual
6. Motivated and enthusiastic person with a focus on client care
The position is suitable for a legal executive/paralegal with experience in commercial and corporate areas. The successful candidate will work well with experienced professionals within a team environment whilst maintaining high work standards. They will thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments, adapting well to new areas of law. The individual will be a good communicator with excellent attention to detail. They welcome applications even where your experience may not perfectly match the criteria they have set out.
The ideal candidate will have:
1. A Diploma in legal studies or equivalent legal qualification
2. Previous experience in a similar role
3. Proven organisational and administrative ability as well as excellent communication skills
4. A positive attitude and a proactive approach to work
5. A high degree of attention to detail
6. IT proficiency
