OTC/Pharmacy Sales Assistant required for Life Pharmacy Knock, Co. Mayo.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting and greeting our customers, selling over the counter and front of shop products within the pharmacy.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Providing a high level of customer and patient care.
* Excellent customer advice through product knowledge.
* Running of the front of shop (over-the-counter medicine and general pharmacy sales and gifting).
* Working to agreed operating procedures within the pharmacy to maintain the highest ethical standards and deliver excellent customer care.
* Responsibility for stock management, and correct planogram stock merchandising.
* Placing orders with wholesalers, checking in deliveries, dealing with missing deliveries.
* Knowledge of suppliers and product sourcing.
* Maintaining stock at optimal levels and replenishing stock.
* Ensuring stock is displayed in an organised and attractive manner.
* Driving retail sales through link selling and advising customers of promotions in store.
* Accurately and securely performing cash management duties.
* Ensuring the pharmacy is always presented to the highest level to all standards.
* Building customer loyalty.
* Day to day housekeeping duties.
* Engaging positively with internal and external advisers.
Essential Requirements
* Highly customer focused.
* A good listener.
* Excellent communication skills (Must be proficient in both written and spoken communications with customers, other healthcare professionals, staff and advisers).
* A bright and enthusiastic attitude, with a good work ethic.
* Passion for the delivery of excellent customer service and a caring nature.
* Ability to use discretion when addressing information with strict confidentiality.
* Ability to obtain and process information and take direction.
* Cashier experience an advantage.
* IT skills are ESSENTIAL.
* Ability to plan, organise and prioritise work.
* Experience in Social Media platforms.
* Retail or previous pharmacy experience an advantage.
* Excellent merchandising skills and attention to detail.
* The successful candidate will be expected to partake in, and pass, training modules.
* Hard working and integrate well with other staff.
* Honest, truthful and considerate in all interactions with owners, other staff members and customers.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From €12.70 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
