Our client, a leading financial services provider based in the IFSC, is seeking a Hedge Fund Accountant Assistant Manager – AVP. Responsibilities
As a Hedge Fund Accountant Assistant Manager – AVP, your role will include:
* Ensuring the quality of the Fund Accounting service delivery to assigned clients.
* Reviewing, approving, and assisting with the preparation of daily, weekly, and month-end valuations.
* Managing service standards and specified deadlines within a dynamic work environment.
* Resolving complex transactions where expertise is required to interpret policies, guidelines, and processes.
* Leading and developing a collaborative, efficient, and high-performing team.
* Contributing to operational improvements, including input into system design requirements and departmental projects.
* Supporting the management and evolution of the operating model to meet client expectations while maintaining efficiency and control.
* Overseeing and ensuring accuracy in all aspects of fund accounting processing, including governance of shared service centres.
* Managing new product implementations and client initiatives in an efficient, controlled, and scalable manner.
* Acting as a key relationship manager for fund accounting clients, ensuring service levels are met and exceeded.
* Reviewing monthly KPI and SLA reports to ensure high standards of client service delivery.
* Monitoring control statistics and performance metrics to manage risks proactively.
* Maintaining positive relationships with key operational teams, including Investor Relations, Custody/Depositary, Product, IT, and outsourced Centres of Excellence.
* Driving efficiency initiatives and automation to improve controls and reduce costs.
* Ensuring high standards of training and competence within the team, with a strong focus on career development and succession planning.
* Providing feedback and support to Senior Account Managers regarding team performance and development.
* Ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in Hedge Fund Accounting, with at least 2 years at a supervisory level.
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications, particularly Word and Excel.
* Strong expertise in complex OTC derivatives.
* Excellent communication and writing skills.
* A degree in Accounting or a Finance-related field (preferred).
