Quantity Surveyor
DesignBuild Search is partnering with a leading independent project and cost management consultancy based in South Dublin. Due to continued growth, they have an opening for a Quantity Surveyor.

Responsibilities
* Analyse blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labour costs vs estimates.
* Perform all quantity surveying duties, including measurements, valuation, and agreement of work sections.
* Manage projects, demonstrating expertise in estimating packages, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
* Collaborate with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction managers/supervisors to discuss cost.
* Monitor cost variances, manage issues, and deal with overseas cost recovery.
* Report on actual costs and examine estimates used by management for planning, organising, and scheduling work.
* Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals during the project.
* Evaluate the cost-effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
Requirements:
* Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying.
* 4+ years of post-college experience, with PQS experience in managing and mentoring JQS.
* Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
