As a key member of the site team, the Maintenance and Engineering Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the overall maintenance and engineering management of the site.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure that the performance of site manufacturing equipment meets or exceeds all required KPIs.
* Develop strategies to ensure all technicians receive necessary training and support the ongoing skills enhancement of the maintenance teams.
* Execute planned preventative maintenance according to plan and ensure regulatory compliance at all times.
* Conduct periodic reviews of maintenance systems, identify continuous improvement projects focused on equipment performance, and apply best practice maintenance strategies for long-term improvements.
* Ensure all maintenance work performed on-site meets Health & Safety and Quality requirements.
* Lead the Maintenance and Reliability initiative focused on Preventive & Predictive Maintenance rather than reactive.
* Manage planning systems within the Maintenance Function.
* Supervise the maintenance technician group.
* Establish and maintain maintenance procedures for production lines in a GMP manufacturing environment to ensure production meets or exceeds budgeted performance.
* Support plant optimization across production, filling and packing, utilities, and intake.
* Establish performance standards and optimize performance across all processes in the plant.
* Engage with stakeholders, including Quality and Production teams, to prioritize, develop, design, and test new or enhanced processes.
* Collaborate with the Production team to plan and execute agreed changes.
* Utilize data insights to recommend interventions to drive performance.
* Troubleshoot issues and identify opportunities to enhance plant performance and drive KPI improvement.
Requirements and Profile
* Experienced trade (electrician or fitter) or third-level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
