Document Delivery Information Specialist
Duties:
* Deliver documents in a timely and efficient manner.
* Moderate copyright permission orders to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
* Conduct basic database searches to verify bibliographic citations.
* Ensure subscribed materials are accessible online and escalate access issues and broken links.
* Obtain material not held in collection and select the best possible option.
* Follow up with providers for timely supply of publications.
* Document work processes and clearly communicate progress and results with peers and customers.
KPIs:
* Service turnaround time (timeliness)
* Error-free services (accuracy)
* Customer satisfaction score based on regular customer satisfaction survey
Skill Requirements:
* 1-3 years of relevant librarian experience.
* Experience with interlibrary loan/document delivery, including verification of bibliographic citations and location of items required.
* Experience practicing intellectual property law, specifically in areas of copyright and licensing desired.
* Proven experience in customer service, preferably in library environment.
* Broad knowledge of healthcare online tools and e-resources (databases, e-journals, etc.).
* Attention to detail with ability to complete large volume of work quickly and independently.
* Verbal & written communication skills.
* Strong customer service focus.
* Team player adept at working in multicultural settings, with appreciation of differences in business and social cultures.
* Problem-solving ability.
* Ability to work under time pressure.
Education:
* Degree in Library and Information Science (B.L.I.Sc).
