Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer/Analyst to join our client in Dublin. This is a daily-rate contract position with hybrid options available.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures.
* Conduct security assessments through vulnerability testing and risk analysis.
* Perform internal and external security audits.
* Analyse security breaches to identify root causes.
* Coordinate security plans with outside vendors.
* Develop a strategic enterprise cybersecurity program.
* Work with the security team to perform network vulnerability tests.
* Maintain high-security standards by fixing detected vulnerabilities.
* Stay current on IT security trends and news.
* Develop company-wide best practices for IT security.
* Perform regular security monitoring to detect possible intrusions.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.
* Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+.
Experience:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a security analyst/engineering role.
* Proven experience designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures.
* Experience planning, researching, and developing security policies within an organisation.
* Cyber Forensics / Data Analysis using ELK stack experience.
* Microsoft Defender Technologies experience.
* Experience working in information risk and security-related best practices and awareness of relevant policies, standards, and regulations.
Skills:
* Knowledge of potential attack vectors such as XSS, injection, hijacking, social engineering, etc.
* Proficient in firewalls, VPN, Data Loss Prevention, IDS/IPS, web proxy/web gateway, Cloud Application security and Security Audits.
* Strong understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
* In-depth understanding of ICT systems with particular reference to cyber threats.
