About The RoleThe key responsibilities of the role can be divided into three main areas; Reporting, Ad-hoc Analysis and Portfolio Analysis and Strategy Support.ReportingDevelop (in conjunction with our analytics team) a suite of daily, weekly and monthly reports which track all our agreed KPIsLead reviews of our campaign execution to help maximize generosity efficiencyIdentify areas in which to be more efficient in reporting delivery Ad-hoc Analysis Become an expert in our internal data and conduct ad hoc analysis to help understand our business and to unearth commercial opportunities.Identify growth opportunities:Using our internal dataThrough local and international researchThrough collaboration with our FDJ partners Portfolio Analysis and Strategy SupportBuild up a full portfolio view of our products, their performance over time and the customer need they fulfil.Act as a key contributor to business case development to support strategy approval.Produce high-quality, Board-ready outputs and proposals.About YouYou are degree level qualified in marketing, commerce, statistics, economics or related field.You have 2 - 4 years experience in a commercial, online marketing or data analytics environment. You are a power user of excel or similar toolData modelling tools (R, SQL etc) an advantage but not required.You are data drivenExceptionally comfortable with data, in particular understanding and pulling real world insights from data.You have strong presentation skillsAbility to deliver complex analysis and insights succinctly and tailored to the audience involved (senior management; other teams/partners).You have a strong collaboration / team ethicAn ability to work with and influence others, across a variety of different operational areas.You are goal orientated and focused on impact / deliveryPresentations / insights need to be a means to an end – delivering impact is crucial.About the TeamThe Trading function sits within the Commercial department of PLI and is responsible for defining our sales budgets, overseeing the reporting of our trading performance, and driving revenue generating initiatives across functions.The Trading Analyst will report directly to the Head of Trading and work with a wide variety of stakeholders, from Business Intelligence, Product, Retail, Digital and Marketing, to help better further PLI’s commercial understanding of the business and to support strategic decision making. The team will lead out on trading performance reviews for all levels of the organisation and play a key role in the business case development for strategic initiatives that will help PLI deliver on its long-term plan.
