What you'll do
This role involves overall responsibility for the accounting for a number of Docusign entities in EMEA with a focus on the monthly and quarterly close processes including the review of management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations. Docusign France is the most significant of these companies. It will also involve overall responsibility for the statutory accounting for these entities.Candidates should have experience with monthly close processes, preferably in a US-headquartered multinational, as well as a strong understanding of both US GAAP and IFRS. Experience of French GAAP would be highly beneficial. In depth knowledge of large company ERP systems (Oracle/SAP) is required as is a demonstrable ability to drive change in the form of automation and standardisation. Attention to detail and the ability to deliver results under strict deadlines as well as working effectively cross-functionally in a rapidly changing environment is critical.This position reports to the Director EMEA Accounting OperationsResponsibilities: Responsible for all accounting activity for Docusign’s subsidiaries in France, Egypt, Sweden, Italy and SpainLead month-end and quarter-end US GAAP close for the assigned DocuSign entities through management of the close process and review of journals and balance sheet reconciliationsEnsure SOX compliance for assigned entitiesManage the preparation and timely filing of statutory accounts for Docusign’s subsidiaries in France, Egypt, Sweden, Italy and SpainOversee billing, collections and revenue recognition for the French entity and ensure that all activities are timely and accurate (this aspect of the role will diminish over time as contracting transitions from Docusign France to Docusign’s Irish entity)Review and approve POs, invoices and payments as required across assigned companiesReview and approve outputs of the payroll department for assigned entities as required and take responsibility for payroll accountingEnsure the Managing Director for Docusign France and the France Workers Council are adequately supportedManage a geographically dispersed team and ensure that they have clear priorities, adequate guidance and are suitably challengedAct as point of escalation for any accounting/finance issues arising in assigned companiesComplete other duties and special projects as assigned
Job Designation
Remote: Employee is not required to be in or near an office frequently and works from a designated remote work location for the majority of the time. What you bring
Basic Qualifications:Recognized accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or other similar international accounting qualification)Minimum 7 years post qualification accounting experience in industryExperience in a US headquartered, US GAAP reporting, public company.Experience driving process improvement and standardisation in a corporate ERP environment (SAP/Oracle)Highly proficient in Excel/Google SheetsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience of people managementExperience working in a multi-currency environment Preferred Qualifications:Business-related degreeKnowledge of French GAAP
Wage Transparency
Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations: California: $X/hour - $X/hour or $X - $X base salary Illinois and Colorado: $X/hour - $X/hour or $X - $X base salary Washington, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $X/hour - $X/hour or $X - $X base salary Washington DC: $X/hour - $X/hour or $X - $X base salary This role is also eligible for the following:Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
