Senior Accountant Opportunity
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in North Dublin. As a key member of our finance department, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of accounting functions, including financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accounting Operations: Oversee accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory, and revenue recognition.
* Financial Forecasting and Budgeting: Manage financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, ensuring accurate reporting.
* Financial Reporting: Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements and annual reports to track trends and financial forecasts.
* Compliance and Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and maintain strong internal controls.
* Process Improvements: Support process improvements to enhance efficiency in accounting operations.
* Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow, credit control, and debt collection, producing ageing reports and taking action on outstanding balances.
* Team Supervision: Supervise and support the finance team, ensuring effective collaboration.
* Auditor Liaison: Coordinate and liaise with auditors and external stakeholders.
* Reporting: Assist the Head of Finance in preparing reports for senior leadership and board meetings.
Requirements:
* Qualifications: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
* Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a similar role within a fast-paced business environment.
* Skills: Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, strong IT and systems experience, proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and experience with ERP systems such as Access Dimensions is an advantage.
