Dynamic Sales and Events Manager Sought for BrookLodge & Macreddin Village
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales and Events Manager to lead our sales efforts and coordinate exceptional events at BrookLodge & Macreddin Village.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy Development: Design and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth in accommodation, corporate events, and private functions, including overseas clients.
2. New Business Opportunities: Identify and nurture relationships with potential clients, event planners, and corporate partners to expand our network.
3. Client Engagement: Conduct sales visits, presentations, and networking events to promote BrookLodge & Macreddin Village and foster strong client relationships.
4. Revenue Growth: Achieve and exceed sales targets through proactive outreach and client engagement.
5. Event Planning: Oversee the planning and coordination of conferences and private events to ensure seamless execution and exceptional guest experiences.
6. Clients Needs Assessment: Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions and exceptional service.
7. Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments (kitchen, front office, operations) to ensure smooth event execution.
8. Event Management: Manage event budgets, contracts, deposits, and timelines, ensuring profitability and efficiency.
9. Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of attention to detail in event setups, logistics, and overall customer satisfaction.
10. Main Point of Contact: Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring excellent communication from initial enquiry to post-event follow-up.
11. Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with new and repeat clients and key stakeholders to encourage loyalty and referrals.
12. Client Feedback Analysis: Gather and analyse client feedback to continuously improve the event experience.
13. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and event details.
14. Reporting: Prepare reports on sales performance, revenue projections, and market insights for senior management.
15. Contract Management: Ensure all contracts, deposits, and payments are managed efficiently.
16. Additional Support: Assist with reservations and weddings if needed.
Requirements
1. Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in a sales and events role within the hospitality industry.
2. Corporate Events Knowledge: Strong knowledge of corporate events and conference planning.
3. Sales Skills: Exceptional sales and negotiation skills with a track record of achieving targets.
4. Organisation and Multitasking: Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple events simultaneously.
5. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with clients and internal teams.
6. Digital Competence: Up to date understanding of B2B, B2C and experience of all online revenue channels, including but not limited to, 3rd party websites, social media platforms, analytics, and SEO.
7. Negotiation and Contracting: Ability to price, negotiate and contract rates with OTAs, Tour Operators, and DMCs.
8. Software Proficiency: Proficient use of software, including Microsoft Office.
9. Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of DMCs, MICE, and overseas tour operators.
