CDC Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Civil Engineering
University College Dublin (UCD) is seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to fill the position of CDIC Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Civil Engineering. This is a temporary 5-year post within the UCD School of Civil Engineering.
About the Role
We are looking for a candidate with expertise in Bridge and/or Structural Engineering, who will play a key role in delivering our undergraduate dual degree programme in Civil Engineering Infrastructure at the Chang'an Dublin International College (CDIC).
Main Responsibilities:
* Teaching and mentoring students in Bridge and/or Structural Engineering
* Conducting research and publishing in top-tier academic journals
* Collaborating with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects
About the School
The UCD School of Civil Engineering is a dynamic and research-driven school with an international reputation for excellence in research and teaching. We have world-leading researchers in two research centres: the Centre for Critical Infrastructure Research, and the Dooge Centre for Water Resources Research.
About the Programme
Our undergraduate dual degree programme in Civil Engineering Infrastructure is delivered in partnership with Chang'an University in Xi'an, China. The successful candidate will spend a trimester teaching in CDIC each year.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
* A PhD in Civil Engineering or a related field
* Excellent teaching and research skills
* Experience working in an international environment
