Assistant Fashion Buyer – Accessories

Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Senior Buyer in budgeting, margin targeting, and range planning for the Accessories Division.
* Prepare weekly trade updates, analyzing sales performance and suggesting actions based on best and worst sellers.
* Conduct pre-season planning by compiling data from previous seasons, researching trends, and creating buying plans.
* Organize and schedule buying trips and appointments, ensuring thorough preparation and coordination with other departments.
* Attend trade shows and supplier meetings, documenting actions and ensuring follow-up is completed.
* Monitor market and customer activity through competitive shops, sales data, and trend analysis.
* Collaborate with other departments to develop strategies and ensure department representation.
* Maintain accurate product details in merchandise management systems and address any discrepancies.
* Take responsibility for own category, including range building, assortment planning, and negotiation of trade discounts and terms.
* Manage continuity stock holding, ensuring regular review and replenishment to optimize stock cover.
Required Experience:
* 3-4 years of fast-paced buying office experience.
* Demonstrated commercial skills.
* Proven relationship management skills.
* Excel proficiency.
* Strong influencing abilities.
