Role Snapshot
If you are someone who is passionate about great guest service but can also take control of the admin side of running a kitchen- planning, stock control, training etc. then this role might be for you. Reporting to the General Manager, our Kitchen Supervisor will play a central role in the food operation of the hostel.
Some of your responsibilities will be to:
* Support the GM in the recruitment, induction and onboarding of all new team members.
* Manage all activities, including food preparation, menu design for groups and guests, stock control, cost control etc.
* Demonstrate your leadership with a hands-on approach, constantly engaging and motivating your team to achieve goals set by you and the management team.
* Maintain high standards and ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to Clink i Lár SOPs and serving standards.
* Be knowledgeable of HACCP compliance and ensure that Clink i Lár is compliant at all times.
* Monitor the deliveries and storage operations, stocking and food rotation while being conscientious regarding potential waste.
* Perform admin duties such as food orders and stock control, menu costing, HACCP documentation, rosters and SOPs.
Who are you?
We know this role is a bit of an unusual one but we feel the role would be perfect for someone who is looking for an opportunity to run their own kitchen, who wants to upskill their knowledge about the financial side of running a kitchen, be up to speed in terms of HACCP and food hygiene compliance, understand food costings, running a sustainable kitchen and create an exciting menu offering in a limited capacity kitchen. Previous experience as a senior chef in a busy production kitchen would be ideal as well as knowledge in all areas related to HACCP and food hygiene.
