As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our location, ensuring that all procedures are followed, and making key decisions to drive operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in problem-solving, analytical thinking, and leadership. They will be proficient in Microsoft Office, experienced with reporting tools, and possess a full Category B driving license.

Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure standard operating procedures are followed in all areas of the location, identifying gaps or areas for improvement, and providing innovative solutions.
* Maintain a presentable and well-organized station, ensuring all facilities and equipment are in excellent condition.
* Lead day-to-day operations, resolving operational issues, and making quick decisions on all aspects of the business.
* Ensure strict compliance for vehicle and key security, managing lost property, and addressing anomalies promptly.
* Respond to stock anomalies, unauthorized removal of telematics devices, and address them promptly.
* Manage fleet cars/vans, upgrades, and space planning during evening and weekend shifts.
* Protect the business against risk by ensuring insurance and terms and conditions are followed by staff.
* Monitor and drive customer satisfaction by ensuring all staff uphold customer service standards.
* Manage daily operations for Sharebox & D2C requirements, ensuring bookings are met within lead times, and be the point of contact for queries and requests.
* Be present at customer-facing areas, leading by example in creating and upholding company standards for service levels.
* Address customer queries/complaints in a timely and professional manner, ensuring positive resolutions and clear communication.
* Oversee and account for day-to-day activities of operations assistants, including management of tax discs, idle vehicles, fleet checks, and key control.
* Conduct regular planned and unplanned audits to ensure compliance with group audit requirements.
* Work with the fleet and logistics manager to ensure optimal vehicle availability, accounting for booking volumes, and highlighting potential affects on resources/customer journey and space availability.
* Proactively identify and address operational challenges or areas for improvement.
* Supervise customer-facing and operational staff to ensure productivity, address performance issues, and conduct 1:1 meetings when required.
* Assist in managing and recording staff absence coverage and return to work interviews, overlooking the daily plan and highlighting potential issues.
* Provide support to the Airport Manager in executing ad hoc duties and special projects as needed, ensuring efficient operations and timely completion of tasks.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Problem-solving and analytical thinking with a focus on improving operational performance.
* Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with reporting tools.
* Full Category B driving license for at least 2 years.
* Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to health and safety.
