Automation Systems Engineer/Lead - Hybrid, Carlow
Job Description
Are you a seasoned Automation Systems Engineer seeking a new professional challenge? Our company invites you to join our expanding Manufacturing Automation division at our Carlow site. Your Core Responsibilities
1. As an integral part of the team, you will support Delta V components of the process, playing an active role in manufacturing activities, and spearheading the resolution of technical issues.
2. Participate in the Tier process, and ensure a smooth operation of the site value stream and supply through top-notch Automation service.
3. You will be instrumental in maintaining high-quality product supply by ensuring equipment and system availability, and by supporting continuous process improvement initiatives.
4. Update and conform to local Carlow specific SOP's and technical documentation, including Change Management and Incident Problem Management. You will be a custodian of compliance!
5. Play a key role in drafting, revising and rolling out operational procedures, training materials, and maintenance procedures for various Automation systems.
6. Encourage a culture of Continuous Improvement by deploying our company's Six Sigma tools within Automation on projects.
7. Adhere to Global Policies, Procedures and Guidelines, regulatory requirements, and execute current Good manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in daily activities and job functions.
8. Collaborate to promote a safe and compliant culture in Carlow and perform other duties as assigned.
Who You Are
You are ready if you have:
1. Bachelor’s Degree or higher, preferably in a related Business, Science, Engineering or other Technical Discipline.
2. At least 5 years’ experience with Emerson DeltaV DCS and DeltaV Batch. Your proficiency in Delta V recipe creation and system server/controller architecture configuration will be highly valuable.
3. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in designing, implementing, and supporting manufacturing automation solutions.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other job-related computer applications. Your strong skills in report writing, standards, and policy formulation will be essential.
Nice to have, but not essential:
1. A Six Sigma qualification will be an added advantage.
2. Experience and/or a specialized skill set in your area of expertise that can add value to our business; ideally in a manufacturing, preferably GMP, setting.
