The Role: Financial Administrator
The Financial Administrator will play a key role in managing the company's day-to-day financial activities, including debtor and creditor management and providing essential office and finance administration support.
This role is vital for ensuring timely and accurate financial processing and record-keeping, contributing to the overall efficiency of the finance and office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Debtor and Creditor Management:
o Manage accounts receivable and payable.
o Send timely invoices, track outstanding payments, and follow up where necessary.
o Reconcile supplier statements and address any discrepancies.
o Process payments and receipts accurately, maintaining organized records.
* Day-to-Day Bookkeeping:
o Record financial transactions in the company's accounting system.
o Perform regular bank reconciliations to keep records up-to-date.
o Assist in preparing financial statements to provide insights into company performance.
* Account Management:
o Monitor and manage company cash flow for optimal financial health.
o Work with the Accountant to prepare financial reports and support tax filing in Ireland and the UK.
o Coordinate and assist with the preparation of Annual Audits.
* Finance Administration:
o Support financial planning and analysis efforts.
o Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
o Prepare and present bi-weekly reports
* Office Administration:
o Manage general office operations and procedures for a smooth workflow.
o Maintain inventory of office supplies, placing orders as necessary.
o Coordinate with the landlord and ensure office equipment maintenance.
Person Specification
* Education and Qualifications:
o Qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
o ACCA, CIMA credentials are desirable but not essential.
* Experience:
o 1-2 years of experience in financial administration or bookkeeping.
o Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero) and MS Office, especially Excel.
o Experience in office administration is an advantage.
* Skills and Abilities:
o Strong numerical and analytical skills for accurate financial handling.
o Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
o Good organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines.
o Effective communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
