Amazon MSP (Mechatronics and Sustainable Packaging) is seeking a motivated and hands-on Test Engineer to join the Design and Test team.
This team is a multi-disciplinary environment of design leaders and test engineers dedicated to advancing the knowledge of automation and how millions of customer orders are fulfilled every day.
The test engineer is responsible for the creation and execution of test programs, plans and methods for subsystem verification tests and complete system verification and validation tests to support new technology and product development programs.
The test engineer will work with hardware, electrical and controls development engineers, technical operations and solutions engineering to define, execute and report on verification and validation tests.
Key job responsibilitiesDevelop and execute test plans for mechanical, electrical, and control systemsPerform functional, integration, and acceptance testing of automation equipmentEnsure compliance with safety and quality standardsTroubleshoot and resolve issues in mechanical, electrical, and control systemsDocument test results and recommend design improvementsAbout the team
The ANR10 test and design team has the key responsibility to assure the definition and implementation of an appropriate development process of mechatronic systems.
This includes stakeholder's requirements elicitation, definition of the system requirement and system architecture, leading the mechatronic system design and assuring the compliance of the system functionalities with customer requirements by designing and performing design validation and system verification tests.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONSDegree in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Mechatronics, or Automation EngineeringExperience testing industrial automation or packaging machineryStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExperience with testing equipment, processes and standardsGood command of English (required); Flemish/Dutch is a plusPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSDeep knowledge and experience on writing and execution of test processes for complex mechatronic and automation systemsStrong knowledge of PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Beckhoff, Rockwell, Codesys) and industrial protocols (EtherCAT, Modbus)Good knowledge of LV & HV industrial electrical panels and related safety standardsExperience working with the following software packages: Team center, Polarion, E-planAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
