Abbott serves the Irish market with a diverse range of healthcare products including diagnostics, medical devices and nutritionals products. In Ireland, Abbott employs over 6,000 people across ten sites. We have six manufacturing facilities located in Clonmel, Cootehill, Donegal, Longford and Sligo and a third-party manufacturing management operation in Sligo. Abbott has commercial, support operations and shared services in Dublin and Galway. We have been operating in Ireland since 1946.
Purpose of the Job:
The Senior HR Business Partner will enable the business to attract, develop and retain the industry's best talent and workforce by providing an inclusive and engaging environment where employees have the opportunity, security and relationships to achieve their best and live their healthiest and fullest lives.
Major Responsibilities:
* Coach to Leaders: To be a trusted coach to the leader they support, particularly in relation to the leader's own performance and the organisational effectiveness of their team and any other related areas the leader feels they would benefit from coaching support.
* Talent & Capability Development: Support the business leaders supported in building the talent pipeline in their business and in ensuring that their organisations have the capability needed to meet the businesses current and future needs. Provide expert guidance and processes to leaders to support building talent & capability in their area.
* Culture & Change Champion: Support the business leaders in building and enhancing the culture in their organisation, continuously improving employee engagement and in the management of change in the business. Provide expert guidance and processes to leaders to support culture, employee engagement and change management in their area. Acts as the guardian of the culture for the organisation.
* Strategy Partner: Partners with the business leader in the development of their strategy. Diagnoses the people strategy needs of the business and develops solutions & interventions to enable the delivery of the business strategy.
* Employee Relations & Foundational Services: Provides ER guidance & SME mentoring to people leaders to enable them to proactively manage ER in the area and to respond effectively to manage complex ER matters. Provides support to the business leaders in the execution of cyclical HR processes e.g. annual performance management cycle, merit process, etc.
Education & Competencies:
* A third-level qualification in a relevant discipline and/or membership of Institute of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management.
* Eight years in a HRBP role.
