The Role: Avolon is appointing a VP Technical - Asset Management to our Dublin office reporting directly to the Head of Engineering & Asset Management. The primary focus of the role is to manage all technical aspects of asset trading.
Role Responsibilities: Manage internal and external resources to protect and deliver trading due diligence workstreams.Negotiate Technical due diligence items with trading counterparts.Support the wider Technical team by assisting with routine Asset Management Functions such as asset inspections, MR Claim Management, Modification Assessments.Liaise effectively with internal departments such as Legal, Trading, Lease Management, Origination, and Technical, ensuring timelines are clear, accurate and communicated effectively to all relevant internal and external stakeholders.Perform lease reviews as required to support the above functions.Maintain and produce analytical reports to support the wider business.Help to develop the processes and systems utilised by the Technical team to ensure the highest quality output.Work effectively within the Engineering and Asset Management Team to maintain the technical accuracy and integrity of all portfolio assets. The Person: You will be driven, focused, and resourceful as well as being an excellent relationship builder. You will represent Avolon in a transparent and honest manner setting a strong example for others to follow. You will be able to articulate complex concepts and put forward compelling arguments and rationales to all levels and audiences within Avolon and the industry.
Essential Skills and Experience: Engineering Honours Degree and/or an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's License (AMEL).A minimum of five years airline, MRO or leasing experience within a technical function.Experience in aircraft trading and/or transition management a strong advantage.Highly proficient with Aircraft Technical Records.Ability to interpret legal terms relating to technical covenants of lease agreements.Highly motivated self-starter who brings original thought, challenge and innovation to solving problems.Direct, effective, and engaging communicator with strong interpersonal skills.Strong and independent minded with the ability to express your views with conviction, showing bravery in confronting established thought.Ability to distil complex messages into key takeaways to support management decision making, summarising findings with impact, putting forward compelling arguments and rationales to all levels and audiences within Avolon and the industry.Driven, focused, resourceful and self-motivated with an ability to think independently and work to proactively identify solutions to issues as they arise.Strong drive for results, with a focus on meeting project milestones and timelines.Skilled at compiling and monitoring project statuses, with the ability to present updates to cross-functional teams.Excellent in interpersonal and collaboration skills, capable of developing and maintaining positive business relationships to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders.Showcase a track record of delivering successful outcomes in a fast-paced commercial environment.
