H&S Coordinator Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced H&S Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing safety standards, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and fostering a safe work environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement safety standards to ensure compliance with legal requirements and promote a safe work environment.
* Prepare method statements and risk assessments to guide teams in executing tasks safely and efficiently.
* Champion a strong safety culture by advising leadership and inspiring positive change across the company.
* Conduct regular site safety audits, manage initiatives, and address risks to ensure safe project delivery.
* Collect and analyze safety data, report incidents, and continuously improve safety systems and practices.
* Collaborate with customers through site audits, toolbox talks, and proactive engagement on safety performance.
* Support compliance and certifications, contributing to tenders with accurate health and safety documentation.
Requirements:
* Degree/Diploma in H&S or related disciplines.
* Professional qualifications in health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
* 1-3 years of experience in a similar role (H&S Coordinator/advisor).
* Experience within industrial services and environmental management sector.
* Experience with safety management systems.
* Experience dealing with onsite personnel.
* Strong understanding of H&S regulations.
