An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Systems Administrator to join a dynamic team within the health sector in Cork.
This role involves working collaboratively with the Group IT Team, reporting to the IT Team Leader, and being responsible for the management, administration, and support of all IT systems and applications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical system issues to ensure IT systems are operational at all times.
* Provide general IT and Systems Administration support across the Group.
* Monitor and report on the Group's 24-hour IT Support Scheme to ensure its effectiveness.
* Evaluate and improve the efficiency of the IT help desk.
* Minimise system failures and unplanned stoppages.
* Perform standard system tasks such as admin, backups, new Citrix builds, data recovery, and user administration.
* Administer hardware and software maintenance and support contracts.
* Participate in the selection, procurement, installation, and maintenance of new IT systems and installations.
* Contribute to particular systems projects agreed with the Head of IT Operations.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
* Audit and continuously improve IT protocols to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
* Work with the InfoSec team on security matters and prioritise resolutions with IT operations.
Desired Skills:
* 3+ years experience as a Systems Administrator.
* Citrix Administration experience.
* Information Security expertise.
* VMware virtualisation skills.
* Windows Server proficiency.
* Active Directory and O365 knowledge.
* LAN/WAN and wireless networks understanding.
* Service Now and ITIL familiarity.
* Technical certifications such as MCSE, CCNA, CISSP are desirable.
