About the Role
The PR & Communications Associate Director role in our Strategy, Brand and Marketing department involves:
* Developing and implementing comprehensive public relations strategies to enhance the company's reputation and brand awareness.
* Cultivating and maintaining relationships with media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers to secure positive press coverage.
* Creating press releases, media kits, and other communication materials to promote company initiatives, products, and services.
* Coordinating and managing media interviews, press conferences, and other public relations events.
* Monitoring and analysing media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities and mitigate potential risks.
* Responding to media queries and managing crisis communication effectively.
* Collaborating with internal teams, including marketing and compliance, to ensure consistent messaging and brand integrity.
* Developing and maintaining a network of key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry associations.
* Driving digital PR initiatives, including social media engagement, content creation, and online reputation management.
* Measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of public relations campaigns and initiatives.
Requirements
We are looking for someone with a background in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field, and experience in public relations, corporate communications, or media relations, preferably within the financial services industry.
* A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
* Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging for different audiences and channels.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* Knowledge of media relations best practices, including pitching, press release distribution, and crisis communication.
* Familiarity with digital marketing and social media platforms for PR purposes.
* Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop innovative PR campaigns and solutions.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
* Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to financial services PR.
* Professional certifications in public relations or related fields are a plus.
