Management Accountant, Construction, North Dublin

Our client is a well-established, thriving organisation operating in the Construction sector for over 60 years. With multiple ongoing projects, they are in an expansion phase and as a result require a commercially focused accountant to join their team. Reporting to the CFO & Operations Director, the accountant will play a key role in the continued development of the business.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with all departments and senior leadership to communicate financial information
- Oversee and uphold the accuracy of accounting software, while participating in its ongoing enhancement.
- Assist in compiling monthly management accounts and preparing reports for the senior leadership team.
- Play a key role in the creation and oversight of financial systems and policies.
- Evaluate costs and revenues, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial data.
- Ensure compliance with revenue regulations across the business, including taxes, VAT, and RCT.
- Assist in facilitating the annual audit process.
- Build expertise in specific construction finance matters and provide support as needed.
- Offer assistance to the payroll department in its operations.
Experience
- Qualified Accountant (ACA,ACC A, CIMA) with a minimum of 3 years accountancy experience
- Experience within the construction sector is an advantage
- Proficiency in IT systems, particularly with MS Excel and Accounting Software packages.
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise tasks.
- Ability to work on own initiative and also be a key team member.
- Possess strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Fluency in English required along with excellent communication & interpersonal skills
