Excel Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting a Team Leader Social Worker to join an Adult Safeguarding Team in Laois/Offaly.
This is a fantastic fulltime opportunity, to lead and support a dedicated safeguarding team, ensuring the protection, dignity, and well-being of vulnerable adults at risk of abuse or neglect.

Key Responsibilities:
* Team Leadership: Provide guidance, support, and supervision to a team of Social Workers and other safeguarding professionals.
* Risk Assessment & Intervention: Oversee complex risk assessments and safeguarding interventions for adults at risk.
* Collaboration & Advocacy: Work closely with HSE teams, healthcare professionals, An Garda Síochána, and voluntary organisations to ensure comprehensive safeguarding measures.
* Policy & Compliance: Ensure all safeguarding cases are managed in line with HSE Safeguarding Policy and national frameworks.
* Case Management & Reporting: Maintain accurate case records, prepare reports, and contribute to strategy planning.
* Training & Awareness: Lead training initiatives to enhance adult safeguarding awareness within the team and the wider community.
Essential Criteria:
* CORU registered Social Worker (essential).
* Proven experience in adult safeguarding, social work leadership, or related fields.
* Strong knowledge of HSE Safeguarding Policy, risk assessment, and intervention strategies.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and advocacy skills.
* Ability to work both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.
* Full clean driving licence and access to transport is an advantage.
* Valid Garda and overseas clearances (if applicable).
