Exciting Opportunity: General Manager Heating & Plumbing Role
We are looking for an experienced professional to take charge of our thriving Heating & Plumbing trade store. As a General Manager, you will have full autonomy over stock decisions, purchasing, staffing, and logistics, manage trading hours and collaborate closely with the managing director on operational matters.
Responsibilities:
* Manage day-to-day operational and administrative issues within the company.
* Responsible for achieving and exceeding assigned business targets, sales budgets, KPIs, and discount, cost control, demonstrating ambition and profit focus.
* Liaise with the managing Director daily.
* People management, responsible for teams' development and performance.
* Managing merchandising and stock levels within the store.
* Accountable for stock loss and stock takes.
* Analyse and interpret trends by keeping an eye on the market.
* Ensure exceptional levels of customer service from the team.
* Lead by a positive example always.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Manager or high-level Assistant Manager.
* Excellent customer service relationship builder with a passion for providing exceptional customer and service delivery.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and training skills.
* Strong and motivated leader who can lead by example with a result focus.
* Highly organised and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
* Business minded, change orientated and pro-active.
* Works well within a team, flexible and willing to learn and share.
* Open to change in a fast-moving industry.
