Dalkey Castle is an award-winning visitor attraction in the heart of Dalkey, open 6 days per week, all year. Interpretation of the site is provided by in-house trained tour guides and professional actors in a uniquely engaging visitor experience. Dalkey Castle hosts a number of literary events and festivals annually.
The company now wishes to engage an Assistant Manager to effectively assist and support the Manager to deliver all the operational, educational and creative aspects of the Centre’s activities.
Minimum Requirements:
* A minimum of a level 7 degree in History, Archaeology, English, Tourism or other relevant discipline.
* A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a managerial role within a visitor attraction or similar establishment.
* Excellent spoken and written English.
* Experience in training and upskilling staff.
* Excellent computer skills in administrative software.
* Experience of theatre practices and working creatively with actors.
* Experience with online booking systems.
* Experience in retail administrative processes, including financial controls.
* Experience of working with community groups and building diverse audiences.
* Event management skills, particularly in the literary and arts sectors.
* Experience of compliance with the Charity Regulation sector.
Salary: €50,306 pa. 37.5 hour week, fixed term contract. Statutory annual and public holiday provisions and statutory sick pay provisions apply. Full time, rostered over 6 days with some flexibility possible.
