Data Governance Foundation Sr Lead Analyst
The Data Governance Foundation Sr Lead Analyst plays a critical role in leading activities that contribute to the definition of the Enterprise Data Governance Strategy, Data Risk and Control Framework, and Data Risk Taxonomy. This individual is accountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business.
Responsibilities:
* Supports the CEP Data Governance Lead in driving CEP data governance adoption priorities.
* Liaises with partners to establish, manage, and implement data governance/policy adoption plans, compliance metrics, communications, and training.
* Leads business analysis through collection, analysis, review, documentation, and communication of business needs and requirements, ensuring alignment with Data Governance and/or Data Risk and Controls standards.
* Contributes to the establishment of Data Governance and/or Data Risk and Controls standards in alignment with the Enterprise Chief Data Office/Banking & International Data Team.
* Supports key Data Transformation projects across the organization as a data governance subject matter expert.
* Leads activities to ensure roles and responsibilities related to data are understood and implemented across businesses and functions.
* Collaborates with colleagues to ensure timely execution of milestones, provides reporting of potential risks to delivery, and incorporates milestone reporting and changes.
* Captures requirements, develops delivery plans, and manages the entire lifecycle of metrics and report production.
* Avoids risk when making business decisions, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding CGME, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations (as related to data governance).
Qualifications:
* Experience in Banking or Finance industry preferred in a Data Governance/Data Management/Process Engineering/change management or related area.
* A proven problem solver who collaborates effectively by building partnerships and working well with others to meet shared objectives.
* Strong negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills across a variety of stakeholders at different levels.
* Optimizes work processes by balancing effective/effective processes with a focus on continuous improvement.
* Organizational savvy: understands systems, products, front-to-back flows, management processes, knows where to go for information and how to interpret them.
* Working knowledge of Data Operating Model practices, Data Governance, and Data Compliance within large, financial services firms.
Education:
* Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred.
