About your team: Global Risk:
The Global Risk team in Fidelity covers the management oversight of Fidelity's risk profile including key risk frameworks, policies and procedures and oversight and challenge processes.
The team partners with the businesses to ensure Fidelity manages its risk profile within defined risk appetite.
The Global Risk function covers all facets of risk management including investment, operational, enterprise, sustainability, model and information security and technology risk.
Luxembourg Risk:
The Luxembourg/Ireland Risk team fits within the Global Risk function and is responsible for the framework/governance, management of all aspects of risk including market risk, fund liquidity risk, sustainability, fund counterparty/credit risk and information security and technology risk for the local legal entities.
About your role:
This role supports the oversight over investment and non-financial risk across all types of investment strategies, geographies, and local fund ranges.
As part of your role, you will be expected to monitor non-financial and investment risk incl.
sustainability risk within the local fund ranges utilising a range of in-house and vendor applications and provide effective challenge to the business.
You will be given a platform to grow your technical skills and gain experience across investment strategies.
You will be actively involved in enhancement and implementation of investment risk frameworks in the region.
Through your participation in risk forums, you will be expected to identify synergies and propose ways to optimise existing processes across the team.
You will need to be able to work effectively as part of a matrix organization and develop an effective network with colleagues across the Global Risk team e.g.
Subject Matter Experts and the business to support broader goals and objectives and ensure best practice and knowledge sharing across the group.
Your responsibilities include: Supporting the local risk team with establishing and implementing risk and governance frameworks for the oversight of non-financial and investment risk.
Design and implement risk frameworks, policies and procedures for entities located in the region of employment, including enhancement of existing risk frameworks and implementation of new regulatory requirements within these entities to ensure regulatory compliance and recognized best practices.
Provide relevant management information including the escalation of material issues to senior management, including materials for oversight committees.
Follow up and tracking of risk mitigation plans and actions.
Prepare and present risk reports and/or thematic risk reviews at board and/or authorized manager meetings.
Act as contact person on investment risk matters to the internal and external auditors as well as to the local regulator.
Stakeholder management at all levels across the organisation including the authorized management, investment team and fund managers.
Develop and maintain a strong external professional network to keep abreast of external developments and ensure they are introduced to the organisation as and when appropriate.
This includes attending Industry Forums.
Establish and maintain highly effective working relationships with all key internal stakeholders for example the heads of the first line of defense teams and other second line of defense heads.
About you: The successful candidate has solid experience in working in a Risk Function within an asset management or financial services firm.
A good understanding of instruments traded within investment funds incl.
the key aspects of ESG in fund management and a related degree.
You should be efficient and comfortable with large data sets and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
You should demonstrate stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders, including the regulators, to address regulatory inquiries and provide necessary information and explain investment risk succinctly and in non-technical terms.
You should be flexible, approachable and respond rapidly to changing business needs as well as having a dedication to deliver high quality standards.
