We are currently recruiting a Human Resources Manager for a progressive Hotel Group in Cork. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day Human Resources activities of the business, reporting to the Company Directors.
Main Duties:
1. Oversee the day-to-day operations and duties of the Human Resources department.
2. Encourage a culture of employee engagement through effective and transparent communication, effective people management, and the implementation of progressive initiatives aimed at improving the working environment and developing Company Culture.
3. Ensure that all employee queries are responded to in a timely manner.
4. Advise, assist, and support the Heads of Department in all aspects of managing their team, including recruitment, training, performance management, employee engagement, employee development, and talent planning.
5. Manage and monitor the recruitment team and process, including advertising, screening, selection, and onboarding.
6. Ensure that all new employees are furnished with all necessary documentation and training prior to their commencement and onboarding strategy.
7. Maintain and keep up-to-date all employee files, ensuring compliance with Company and statutory procedures.
8. Ensure that the hotel is compliant with all training requirements, arranging refresher training as necessary.
9. Advise, assist, and support the Heads of Department in managing the disciplinary process.
10. Ensure that any employee grievances are managed appropriately and as per company procedures, liaising with the relevant Directors as required.
11. Implement and deliver any group-wide HR projects/initiatives in the hotel effectively.
12. Maintain open, regular, transparent, and positive communication with HODs and the management team.
13. Monitor and manage absenteeism in the hotel.
The successful candidate will have:
1. A qualification in Human Resources Management.
2. Minimum 3 years' previous experience in a 4/5* Hotel HR Management role.
3. Good knowledge of Irish employment law and best practice.
4. Current legal status to live and work in Ireland without restrictions.
5. Excellent leadership and conflict management skills.
6. Organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
