St. Luke's Radiation Oncology Network provides a comprehensive radiotherapy/oncology service over three units based at St. Luke's Rathgar, St. James's Dublin 8 and Beaumont Hospital Dublin 9.
The Patient Services Department incorporates all patient administration duties e.g.
Ward Clerks, Out Patient Reception, Chart Room, Medical Secretaries, Typists, Admissions Clerk, Allied Health Professional admin support, co-ordinating Transport Service,
Diagnostic, Nuclear Medicine, Central Booking Office co-ordinator, MDT co-ordinator, Switchboard Telephonist.
This role involves arranging transport for approximately 50 patients a day, these patients are travelling from the Dublin region to the three SLRON Treatment Centres, also from The Lodge, St. Luke's Hospital to the Beaumont and St. James Treatment Centres.
A high level of responsibility comes with this role to ensure that all patients approved for transport are collected for their radiotherapy and returned home.
