We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Qualified Actuary to join a leading global reinsurance and insurance provider as Head of Process and System Development. This position is based in Dublin City Centre and offers a hybrid working model. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in a senior actuarial role managing a team in a diverse, fast paced environment. They will also have technical expertise, organisational, communication and influencing skills, leadership skills and the ability to promote innovation and change. In this role you will be working with leaders across the company on the process and system transformation journey.
About the Head of Process and System Development Role
Duties for this Head of Process and System Development role include (but are not limited to):
1. Lead the Process and System project, this includes seeking committee support, budget approval drafting project plans, project management, governance and reporting, among other responsibilities.
2. Collaborate with a diverse range of internal stakeholders.
3. Create a culture that encourages creativity and encourages new approaches and explores the use of new technologies.
4. Guide overseas Actuarial teams’ migration across new processes and systems.
Actuarial Skills required
Our client is looking to find a Senior Qualified Actuary with a deep understanding of the Actuarial Function deliverables and the existing processes and systems. Candidates must ideally have experience of the following:
5. Excellent verbal, written and communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to a range of audiences.
6. Experienced in developing actuarial systems and managing process improvement initiatives.
7. Working effectively with senior management and build relationships at all levels.
8. Strong skills in data managing and analysis, cash flowing modelling, financial and capital reporting, project management and transformation projects.
9. Hardworking with a flexible attitude and the ability to deliver on strict deadlines.
