Meet the team RTÉ Learn is a dynamic learning and development function within the HR department.
We research, schedule, coordinate, develop, design and build all learning and development initiatives for all RTÉ employees.
We are committed to supporting the continued development of an agile workforce and growing the capability of every employee.
We provide training solutions that are onsite, online and blended, supporting employees in all RTÉ locations through learning opportunities in Irish and English.
This role reports to the Head of Learning & Development.
About the role:Partner with all areas of the business to address skill gaps and support RTÉ's strategy.Deliver a broad range of compliance related eLearning and in-person courses, professional development training partnerships and creative team workshops.Support the RTÉ Internship Programme, diversity and inclusion and our talent pipeline.Champion the Irish language at all levels by training employees to improve their language skills and work through Irish.Support employees with Irish Sign Language classes and QQI qualifications.Create courses for career mobility and the use of new platforms and new technologies.Manage the RTÉ Learning Centre, our learning management system which hosts and tracks all our learning including compliance.Provide internal communications via our RTÉ Learn SharePoint, frequent intranet updates and direct contact with various teams and departments.About you:You will have a passion for Learning and Development.You will have a professional qualification or equivalent experience in Learning and Development.You will have a technical mindset with specific knowledge and expertise in online learning and technology as well as the latest in AI.You will have a passion and understanding for all media and particularly RTÉ's Public Service role within it.You will be innovative, curious, creative and solution orientated in always looking to improve our learners' experience.You will be a self-starter with the ability to influence and drive change across multiple stakeholders, within and outside of RTÉ.You will have excellent organisation, communication and influencing skills.You will be a strong team player who loves to collaborate and work with others to spearhead and drive innovative ideas to implementation.You will have experience of budget management in the delivery of tactical and strategic learning initiatives.You will have an advanced grasp of technology in the delivery of learning opportunities through RTÉ's Learning Management System.You will be proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Word, PowerPoint and Forms) with the ability to quickly self-learn new software and systems including AI. This appointment will be made at Manager grade 3 and is being offered on a 12-month fixed purpose contract basis.
The salary scale for this grade is from €49,542 to €83,134 gross per annum.
The position will be fully onsite for the first six months, at which point the successful applicant can apply for hybrid working.
