You are a proactive and skilled member of the Maintenance Engineering team, dedicated to ensuring the efficient production of high-quality products. ABOUT THE ROLE
As a member of the Maintenance Engineering team, you will work under the direction of the Engineering Line Owner to ensure the efficient production of high-quality products. Your key responsibilities include:
1. Demonstrating safe working behavior and conforming to site safety standards.
2. Leading behavioral safety programs.
3. Ensuring product quality through appropriate maintenance activities and reporting identified failures.
4. Issuing ATW, Hot Work, and Working at Height permits when required.
5. Developing and executing planned maintenance activities to improve reliability and support SAP PM and other systems.
6. Driving root cause analysis, coaching and mentoring shift engineers, and embedding TPM pillars.
7. Monitoring reliability metrics and supporting the transition to proactive maintenance.
8. Delivering innovative solutions to reduce downtime.
9. Contributing to the site capital investment program by highlighting areas for improvement.
10. Supporting stock accuracy and service levels through adherence to stock control policies.
11. Identifying skills gaps, contributing to training plans, and developing automation capabilities.
WHAT I NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
To be successful in this role, you need qualifications and professional experience, including:
1. An Indentured Apprenticeship.
2. ONC/HNC within Engineering Discipline.
3. Years of experience in an engineering-based field (FMCG environment would be an asset).
You need skills and knowledge such as good oral and written communication skills, basic computer skills, knowledge of process control systems, and the ability to adapt and learn. Personal attributes required include good levels of dexterity, capability to perform manual handling operations, right-first-time attitude, ability to work autonomously, strong problem-solving ability, and commitment to customer service.
