In the exciting role of Coach Driver, you’ll navigate the buzz of air travel, ensuring passengers enjoy safe and enjoyable journeys to and from their flights while also delivering exceptional service to our airline clients.
The Role:
As a Coach Driver for Sky Handling Partner, you will collaborate closely with your colleagues across many departments as well as with staff at Dublin Airport and our Airline Representatives. Teamwork is essential to ensure a smooth service delivery, coordinating schedules, managing passenger flow, and responding efficiently to any operational challenges that may arise.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure Coaches Are Ready for Operation: Before each shift, you’ll check that the coaches are in excellent working condition, ready to provide safe and reliable transportation for our passengers.
2. Ferry Passengers Smoothly: You’ll transport passengers on our company coaches as requested by our customer airlines, ensuring they arrive at their destinations on time and comfortably.
3. Prioritize Passenger Safety: Your top priority will always be the safety of passengers. You’ll drive with caution and attentiveness, making sure everyone feels secure throughout their journey.
4. Inspect for Belongings: Before and after each trip, you’ll carefully inspect the coach cabin for personal belongings to ensure nothing is left behind.
5. Maintain Cleanliness and Safety: You’ll keep the vehicle’s exterior and passenger cabin clean and tidy, ensuring floors are dry to prevent any safety hazards.
6. Communicate Effectively: If you encounter any delays or issues while performing your duties, you’ll promptly inform your supervisor.
7. Report Equipment Issues: You’ll be vigilant in reporting any equipment faults or breakdowns.
8. Wear Proper Uniform and Safety Gear: You’ll represent our company by wearing the correct uniform and safety gear.
9. Adapt to Additional Duties: From time to time, you may be assigned other responsibilities.
Requirements:
1. Full Clean Category D Driver's Licence: You must hold a valid, unrestricted Category D driver's licence.
2. Minimum Age Requirement 18 Years: Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
3. Pass a 5-Year Security Background Check and Garda Vetting Process: Successful candidates will be required to undergo a thorough security background check.
4. Eligible to Live and Work in the E.U.: Candidates must have the legal right to live and work in the European Union.
5. Proficient Written and Verbal English Language Skills: Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English is essential.
6. Ability to Work Rostered Shifts and Flexibility: The role requires you to work on a shift basis.
7. Ability to Work Well Under Pressure: You should demonstrate the ability to remain calm and organized.
8. Excellent Punctuality and Attendance: Reliability is key in this role.
9. Adherence to SHP Grooming & Uniform Standards: Candidates must be committed to maintaining a professional appearance.
10. Operational Experience: Previous experience in an operational environment will be beneficial.
Contract and Hours:
The role of Coach Driver is a full-time, permanent contract, featuring a probation period of six months. We offer a competitive rate of pay for this role at €17.18 (inclusive) per hour. Over time is paid at time and a half.
While the standard hours of the contract are 37.5, flexibility is essential as you may be required to work additional hours in response to operational needs.
