About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join our client, a leading financial services company based in Waterford.
In this role, you will work in an Agile environment, collaborating with multiple squads to deliver high-quality solutions while driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews across multiple squads.
2. Collaborate with Product Owners to manage the product backlog and guide teams in task prioritization.
3. Track progress on product roadmaps, reporting risks and milestones as necessary.
4. Remove team impediments and facilitate resolution by engaging appropriate stakeholders.
5. Build a safe and trusting environment where challenges are addressed without fear of blame or retribution.
6. Foster a collaborative team dynamic, encouraging accountability and transparency.
7. Coach team members on Agile principles and methodologies, helping to develop high-performing squads.
8. Ensure alignment with Agile principles such as collaboration, prioritization, and visibility.
9. Manage governance, reporting, and monitoring activities in line with the delivery framework.
10. Act as a change agent, driving Agile adoption and greater organizational agility.
11. Serve as a servant leader, mentoring less experienced team members and supporting squads in delivering value.
Requirements
* Minimum of 4 years' experience as a Scrum Master.
* Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent experience.
* Deep knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
* Proven ability to facilitate discussion, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
* Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate complex corporate structures.
* Familiarity with software development, preferably in the insurance sector or high-net-worth market.
* Experience with Agile tools like Jira and Confluence.

* A proactive approach to identifying and resolving team impediments.
* Experience coaching and mentoring teams to improve productivity and velocity.
* A track record of continued education in Agile practices, such as training, conferences, or self-study.
* Understanding of technical issues at a high level, with the ability to support teams effectively.

The salary for this role is €60,000 - €80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
