Scope:
Reporting to and supporting the Senior Manager (who sits on the firm’s Client Experience and Reprographics team), the Mailroom Operative will work to ensure efficient, effective and proactive running of the mail and print room service. The post holder will perform a variety of tasks related to the mailroom and Print room function and will flexibly and proactively respond to any client requirements as and when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
* The post holder will be professional at all times and proactively promote excellent customer service
* Receiving, sorting, scanning and distributing incoming and outgoing mail (to include registered post)
* Use of franking machines
* Dealing with enquiries from clients, both face to face and on the telephone
* Booking and receiving courier items
* Receiving & distribution of personal packages
* Print room duties, such as:
o Printing, scanning, photocopying, heat binding, data site printing, large format printing, scanning and formatting electronic bibles
* Advising and assisting internal clients with print issues / queries
* Upkeep of work area / housekeeping duties
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Minimum 1 year experience as Print and Mail Room Operative
* Mailroom and print room operations, (especially digital mailroom operations)
* Knowledge of Irish & international mailing arrangements
* Customer service and complaint handling
* Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of written and verbal formats with a wide range of people
* Working accurately, under pressure, to tight deadlines
* Basic IT skills – word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email and web
* Experience working within a legal firm reprographics room
* To be a team player and work across all areas of the reprographics room
The Print and Mail Room Operative will be expected to undertake manual handling duties within their physical capabilities.
