Director of Nursing
The Director of Nursing is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality nursing and social care services in our care centre. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with a proven track record in healthcare clinical management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Quality of Care: Ensure the implementation of our Quality of Care System, monitor clinical practice, and conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to Company and HIQA standards.
* Financial Administration: Manage administrative procedures, monitor financial records, and maintain knowledge of residents' fee income and funding sources.
* General Management: Conduct regular communication meetings with staff, establish relationships with external community agencies, and facilitate resident engagement in local activities.
* Environment: Implement Health and Safety Policy, ensure catering meets HACCP standards, and maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
* Human Resources: Participate in staff selection and interviewing, conduct training needs analysis, and ensure HR practices comply with current employment legislation.
Requirements:
* Qualifications: Qualified RGN with a post-registration management qualification in health or a related field.
* Experience: At least 3 years of experience in care of the older person, with at least 3 years in a management capacity in the health and social care area.
* Skills and Attributes: Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills; sound decision-making ability; good appreciation of finance issues; ability to motivate self and others; and willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing needs.
