This position is responsible for leading, developing, implementing and maintaining the facilitys QMS in line with the appropriate legislation & codes of practice, customer requirements & specifications and established facility standards. The role is responsible for leading and supporting Tirlns Milling & Grain operation site teams in the implementation of the Quality Management System and transferring our Tirln Quality Systems standards. Create a high standard of awareness and understanding at site level of all appropriate policies and procedures. This position is primarily based at our Portlaoise site but requires travel to Clonroche and other grain sites as this role covers all Tirln Milling & Grain operations. Key Responsibilities Lead all Quality System activity on site Actively develop, co-ordinate and maintain the site Quality Systems in line with best practice standards and the Tirln Quality System Facilitate HACCP reviews to ensure the quality risk management documentation is current and complete Drive Continuous Improvement of Quality Culture, Systems and Processes Lead the Quality Systems Internal Audit Management to assure compliance to GMP & BRC audit readiness Lead the Quality Systems External Audit Management to assure ongoing certification by customers, Regulatory Authorities and BRC Lead the implementation of Corrective Action & Preventative Action for above audits Co-ordinate local mock recall and traceability exercises Lead out the Quality function 3m process Participate in Tirlans QS leadership network Status report metrics for the CAPA and Change Control systems and other relevant KPIs Co-ordination of quality related documentation for auditing (collation, filing, storage and presentation) Support process and product validation compliance activity Documentation management and ownership of the document library for site-wide related documentation Support training on the site document management and change control systems Support SMEs to create training material/programmes Develop and review documentation as appropriate Key Requirements Minimum Bachelors Degree in Science or related discipline Min. 5 years relevant industry experience working at a similar level in a related field Proficient in applicable GMP regulations Ability to deal with ambiguity and develop bespoke Quality Systems Quality Systems Audit experience Good prioritization capability and comfortable adapting to meet production needs Organised and methodical, with excellent attention to detail Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate technical information effectively Competencies Leadership, Drive for Results; Planning and Organizational agility; Interpersonal Skills, Coaching; Managing through systems, Problem Solving.
