Our company is seeking an Automation Manager to join our Digital Manufacturing Operations team at our expanding Carlow site. This role offers you the opportunity to support and lead a diverse team of seasoned engineers, providing critical Automation System support to our manufacturing division.

Your Core Responsibilities
1. Management / Coaching of the core automation Team
2. Support all Automation System components of the process, including on-floor support of manufacturing activities.
3. Actively participate in the Tier process to resolve technical issues proactively.
4. Ensure smooth site value stream and supply by delivering world-class Automation service.
5. Maintain high-quality product supply through equipment and system availability, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
6. Ensure compliance with local SOPs, technical documentation, and company standards in Automation systems.
7. Write, revise, and implement accurate operational procedures, training materials, and maintenance procedures for Automation systems.
8. Promote a culture of Continuous Improvement using Six Sigma tools for problem-solving, standardization, and Lean principles.
9. Adhere to Global Policies, Procedures, Guidelines, and cGMP in daily activities, ensuring a safe and compliant culture.
Who You Are
You are ready if you have:
1. Bachelor's degree in business, Science, Engineering, or a related Technical Discipline.
2. Considerable experience in a similar management role, ideally in a manufacturing, preferably GMP setting.
3. Broad technical knowledge of automation systems.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and job-related computer applications.
5. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
6. Strong skills in change management, conflict resolution, negotiation, and project management.
7. Demonstrable analytical and systematic problem-solving abilities.
8. Extensive technical and operational expertise in DCS Systems (Emerson DeltaV), PLC/Scada (Siemens, Allen Bradley, InTouch), Data Historians (Aveva (OSI)PI Data Historian), Manufacturing Execution Systems (Werum PAS-X (Körber)), Instrumentation/Automation & Control, Building Management Systems, Control System/Shopfloor Integration, Batch Reporting Systems, and Computer System Validation.
9. Knowledge of regulatory/code requirements to Irish, European, and International Codes, Standards, and Practices.
