Position Overview:
As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the service and maintenance operations for the company’s medical devices and equipment. You will lead a team of engineers, ensuring timely and efficient repairs, installations, and customer support. This is an excellent opportunity for a Service Engineer who is ready to transition into a managerial position and take on greater responsibility in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the service department.
* Lead, coach, and support a team of service engineers, ensuring high standards of performance.
* Develop and implement service strategies to ensure customer satisfaction and effective operations.
* Coordinate installation, maintenance, and repair activities for medical devices and equipment.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and industry standards.
* Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and healthcare professionals.
* Monitor and report on service department performance, including KPIs and customer feedback.
* Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide guidance to the team.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives in service delivery and operational efficiency.
* Provide technical training and support to service engineers.
* Develop and manage service contracts and schedules for medical equipment.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Service Engineer within the medical device or healthcare industry.
* Strong technical knowledge of medical devices and equipment.
* Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role is a plus but not essential.
* Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
* Strong customer focus with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
* Full clean driving license and willingness to travel as required.
* Relevant qualification in engineering or a related field (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical Engineering).
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the medical industry is desirable.
