This role will be a field-based service engineer providing technical support for a wide range of medical devices and related medical equipment to existing and new customers across Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, maintain, and repair surgical and medical equipment including operating tables, microscopes, and urodynamics equipment.
* Prioritize jobs and respond quickly to customer issues to minimize downtime.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose problems to ensure correct repair and reduce cost and downtime.
* E nsure devices operate according to manufacturer guidelines and follow their maintenance and calibration procedures.
* Arrange and undertake installation and commissioning of new devices, liaising with the sales team and customers to assess pre-install requirements.
* Complete relevant paperwork to ISO standards for traceability and invoicing.
* Maintain parts stock to sufficient levels.
* Respond to customer queries and questions, escalating issues or potential leads to the sales team.
This role requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with medical equipment and a strong understanding of technical procedures.
