Our client is a long-established civil engineering contractor working on tarmacadam surfacing, drainage, lighting and ducting, and roads projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Maintain good relations with clients and their representatives.
2. Support staff to perform commercial/contractual duties as necessary.
3. Liaise with other departments to provide information to improve the service provided and received by the Commercial/Financial Departments.
4. Prepare monthly, interim and final valuations, applications for payment, reconciliations of valuations and costs, and certification of amounts for contract, sub-contractors, specialists, and suppliers.
5. Provide necessary information to enable an accurate and regular review of cash flow and position on contracts to be maintained.
6. Recover all monies to which the Company is entitled in return for all work undertaken.
Requirements:
1. 6-10 years post-graduate experience in a similar role.
2. Third level qualification in Quantity Surveying.
3. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
4. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
5. Self-motivated with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
6. Carry out full take-off, estimating, cost control, and tracking of progress of contracts.
7. IT Skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular, are essential.
Package:
Salary of €55k - €80k negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
