This role is based in our offices in Donegal and will serve as a vital link between the finance team and the board of directors, supporting a variety of activities across all of our branches, including:
* Power Equipment Branch
* Circle K Service Station
* eCommerce Department
Responsibilities will include:
* Developing and implementing financial strategies to drive business growth and operational efficiency
* Conducting financial analysis to identify opportunities and areas for cost optimisation
* Producing timely and accurate financial statements, month-end reports, and summaries for the Directors
* Preparation of annual financial statements and auditor liaison
* Management of payables and receivables
* Monitoring and managing cash flow & identifying opportunities to improve working capital
* Establishment of department budgets and variance analysis
* Strengthening finance processes and procedures
* Working closely with department heads to provide financial insights and support decision-making
* Providing strategic input to key business decisions, such as investments, pricing strategies, and new ventures
The ideal candidate will:
* Be a qualified or part-qualified accountant
* Have experience of working within and managing a finance team
* Be accustomed to meeting reporting deadlines
* Be able to communicate appropriately at different levels within the business
* Have audited accounts preparation experience
* Be proficient in using appropriate technology
* Have a record of working on their own initiative
