We are looking for a Material Handler / Purchasing Engineer for our clients who are located near Killarney. The company in question is a specialist Engineering company and requires someone to take responsibility for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products within the production facility and support the in-house engineers. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of inventory, tracking stock movements, and making decisions about reordering. This is a full-time position located roughly 20 minutes from Killarney.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
2. Properly store materials in designated areas, ensuring accurate labeling and organization.
3. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
4. Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to specifications.
5. Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies to supervisors.
6. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of storage areas to comply with safety standards.
7. Assist in tracking and managing inventory levels to ensure timely replenishment of materials.
8. Collaborate with team members and other departments to fulfill production and shipping requirements.
Qualifications:
1. 2+ years of previous experience in material handling or warehouse operations preferred.
2. Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
3. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Salary is open to negotiation and based on experience.
