Reporting to the Head of ICT operations, the post holder will work collaboratively with our local IT team based in Glasnevin, Dublin to support the local users & site. The post holder will also support our users in our Citywest Group office collaborating with our Group IT Team who are responsible for the management, administration and support of all IT systems and applications across the Bon Secours Health System to ensure optimum service delivery. The post holder will be based across both locations onsite.
Key duties and Responsibilities:
1. Act as first/second level support as part of the local team for our Glasnevin onsite.
2. Act as first/second level support for our Citywest site onsite.
3. Flexibility to go between sites as needed as required by the head of IT operations.
4. Ensure that the daily ticket queues are monitored and managed effectively to resolve all recorded issues in a timely manner.
5. Develop a full knowledge of all Hospital Information Systems.
6. Responsible for the procurement, logistics & asset management of IT hardware as required.
7. Responsible for maintaining and support of telecommunications in meeting rooms (Teams/Zoom Room).
8. Apply security access for new and existing users on domain and systems as required.
9. Build, troubleshoot and configure IT devices as required, following the procedure outlined along with daily PC Tech duties.
10. Carry out standard system tasks such as backups, data recovery and user admin (AD, O365 administration, new user setup).
11. Familiar with desktop/server builds, OS versions and app installation.
12. Ensure security updates and patches are up to date and policies followed.
13. Confirm, update and draft new Standard Operating Procedures as required to enhance IT service delivery.
14. Liaise with Clinical Users/IT Technical & third-party vendors as required.
15. Participate in the Group 24 hours I&T support scheme rota.
16. Assist in emergency/scheduled work that occur outside of normal working hours (Rare).
17. Participate in IT projects as directed by the Head of IT Operations.
18. Will be required to travel between Glasnevin and Citywest office weekly and other locations within the group on occasion, so appropriate access to transport will be necessary.
19. Collaborate with other members of Group I&T to enhance the overall performance of the function.
Qualifications
1. Foundation IT certification with specific relevant technical certifications.
2. Degree / Diploma in relevant field of computer science Desirable
3. Technical certifications: MS Cert or CompTIA, ITIL or similar Desirable
4. 3 years’ experience as a Desktop support engineer (Level2).
5. IT security knowledge and best practices.
6. Desktop build.
7. Active Directory and O365 admin.
8. LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi Troubleshooting.
9. Service Now and any other IT management Software.
10. End-point patching.
11. Experience of Clinical Systems in a health sector environment Desirable
