Project Engineer - Dublin - Life Sciences - 12-month Contract
Do you want to work with an exciting company who are an established market leader within their niche field? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Engineer to work on an exciting CapEx project in Ireland on an initial 12-month month contract.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Can work independently to meet key deliverables and milestones in addition to being able to effectively lead work within a matrix team working under the stewardship of the Site Capital Lead.
2. Builds & manages the Schedule; this includes task forecasting and ensuring controls are in place to anticipate adherence / slippage vs plan and ensure mitigating actions are in place, as required.
3. Establishment and management of routine team meetings to facilitate plan updates, decision-making, problem solving, escalations e.g. resourcing gaps, mitigations vs non-adherence to plan.
4. The scope of the role typically covers Drug Product Solid Oral Dose transfers to and between from other client/3rd party sites; may also include other relevant changes such as API source changes and process optimisation project leadership.
5. Provides timely and thorough project update reports to customers Site Capital Lead, via the established cadence and process.
6. Partners with all other functions responsible for progress of the change project, typically Quality, External Supply Operations, Supply Chain, Artwork team, Regulatory, Receiving site CMO Manufacturing Operations, External Vendors, among others.
7. Maintains oversight on Project budget, reporting into Site Capital Project Controls; manages project risks i.e. leads the development of risk assessment and mitigations with the Site Capital project team.
8. Administrative activities for the project such as action/issue item tracking, generation of meeting minutes, coordination of focused working sessions between sending and receiving sites and follow up on actions.
Desirable Experience:
9. Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing unit processes; understanding of the Pharma regulatory environment, while not essential, would be advantageous.
10. Minimum of a Degree in a Science or Engineering discipline with extensive project management experience. Project management skills to include experience of successful delivery of projects on schedule and to budget.
11. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to articulate a problem and communicate effectively. Intuitive and focused on Achieving results.
12. Well-developed interpersonal skills (leadership, integrity, team orientation, flexibility, and creativity).
13. Experience of working remotely within a Project team in a matrixed & virtual environment.
