The Event Chef position at our prestigious event facility, nestled within a luxurious, local hotel, offers a unique opportunity to redefine luxury dining and events. With over 37,000 sq. ft. of spectacular indoor and outdoor event spaces, including a stunning glass conservatory and sailcloth tent, you will be at the heart of more than 100 buzzing events. Job Qualifications:
* Proven experience as an event and banquet chef or executive chef in high-end restaurants, hotels, or catering companies.
* Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized culinary institution.
* Strong culinary skills and creative flair, with a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
* Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of food cost control, menu planning, and kitchen management techniques.
* Familiarity with industry trends, culinary techniques, and international cuisines.
* Valid food handler's permit and/or other relevant certifications.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the demands of the job.
Job Responsibilities:
* Menu Development: Design innovative and high-quality menus tailored to the specific needs and preferences of clients, ensuring the finest ingredients and culinary techniques are showcased.
* Food Preparation: Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of all event dishes, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
* Kitchen Management: Manage all activities in the banquet and event kitchen, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and maintaining hygiene and safety standards.
* Team Leadership: Lead, train, and inspire a team of culinary professionals to ensure excellence in performance and outcomes.
* Event Coordination: Collaborate with event planners and catering managers to ensure seamless execution of events at the Radnor, PA venue.
* Quality Control: Maintain strict quality control standards, conducting regular tastings to ensure consistency in every dish.
* Cost Management: Monitor food costs and labor expenses to ensure profitability while upholding high-quality standards.
* Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain supplier relationships to source high-quality ingredients.
* Adherence to Regulations: Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
