Sales and Customer Service Manager ,
West Donegal.
Permanent Role, Salary - €50-€55K

They now wish to appoint a suitably experienced Customer Service & Sales Manager to augment their existing team of professionals. What’s involved?
1. Reporting to the Senior Sales Manager, the successful candidate will
2. Be responsible for overseeing all administrative duties carried out by the department
3. Review and monitor all budgeted accounts on a monthly basis
4. Work with the Senior Sales Manager to forecast customers’ anticipated spend for the year and produce budgeting information
5. Investigate/analyse shortfalls in individual customer expenditure
6. Ensure that the relationship and supply lines to all accounts remain positive and endeavour to expand where possible to increase the product range supplied
7. Recruit, mentor and develop Internal Sales/Customer service co-ordinators and nurture an environment where they can excel through encouragement and empowerment
8. Manage, guide and oversee the Internal sales/customer service team to make sure that our customer service levels are operating to the highest standards.
9. Organise and monitor the daily workflow of the Department
Ensure that the Internal Sales/Customer service team operates to the highest standard possible in the following key areas:
10. Correct lead time is achieved for as many orders as possible
11. Orders are delivered on the agreed date – production plan to be monitored daily in conjunction with the planning department and advised by them of any dates that cannot be achieved
12. Handling Customer Complaints
13. Stock levels for each customer are accurate and aged stock is delivered/ invoiced to agreed system
14. Sales enquiries are handled efficiently and quickly
15. Ensure that once accurate costings are provided to the department the correct sales margins are achieved by each coordinator in conjunction with the Financial Controller.
16. All customer pricing matrix are kept accurate and updated on a regular basis
17. Set up agreed turnaround times with the Pre-Production department and to ensure that all designs are approved as quickly as possible. Each individual coordinator to be responsible for designs for their own customers
18. Ensure that every design is invoiced and that a list of inactive specs, where plates can be destroyed is sent to the pre-production department to action on a regular basis
19. To produce a daily sales report of the orders taken/value and to issue a brief synopsis to the Internal Sales/Customer service and external sales team of all the key events in the week
20. Analyse statistics and compile accurate reports
21. To ensure that coordinators are identifying any areas with existing customers where there is opportunity for growth and to discuss with the External Sales Team
22. To manage and motivate the Internal Sales/Customer service team and to supervise and evaluate their performance on a daily basis
23. To review and evaluate personnel performance in terms of quality, quantity, housekeeping, hygiene, attitude, behaviour, and flexibility. To correct deficiencies through training, motivation and if necessary, the disciplinary procedures in a fair and consistent manner.
24. Undertake annual appraisals for all members of the Internal Sales/Customer service Team
25. To make sure that all staff are adequately trained to perform effectively and safely
26. Continually work towards improvements to sales systems and procedures
27. To ensure that the Team Leader/s can deputise in daily tasks in absence of the Manager
28. Work as part of a team, support colleagues and share information
29. Work on government and company equal opportunities policies and practices and report any deviations
